A big thanks goes out to all of our friends and clients of Amerisound.
Debbie Clement finished up her CD for Zaner-Bloser, a children's publisher. The CD is bright musically and gets the lessons across in a way that doesn't talk or dumb down the message. Great job
Deb!!!!!
The musical, KARMA, written by Billie
Hazelbaker, Bryan Barnes, and Jeff Rollins with music by our own
Dan Green, Ronn Price, and Mr.
Barnes. Shawna Corder and Larry
Ramey, both of who are Nashville studio veterans, performed a majority of the vocal work. The total number of songs came in at 36; that's almost 3 CDs worth of tunes!!!
The studio's good friend Tracy Harris continues to track her lead vocals on her current project as well as continuing to use
Kay Harris, no relation, and Darchelle Williams on background vocals.
RED EYE DAWN has been continuing their work on an original rock project with guitar overdubs and polishing their performances. Original rock is alive & well in C-bus!!!
Papa Stef, assisted by our own Edan
Shaffstall, continues work on his hip-hop songwriter's tracks.
Debra Berndt cut song demos for her music students and songwriter
Mark Sweeny finished his work at the studio consolidating his music data for later use.
The energetic fast concept rapper Kilo was in for a couple of his rapid fire sessions and some friends of mine from the popular country rockers
SILVERADO came in for some CD replications.
Thanks guys! In fact as we always should say, THANK YOU FOR WORKING HERE AT the SOUND!!! From the G-man, PAX!!

Well it's about time... Happy Holodecks everybody!!!
Errr... I meant Holidays!! Wow no doubt about it my hat must be on too tight! And speaking about the studio, we've had a very full fall schedule here at the Sound.
Tracy Harris's CD continues to take shape as she concentrates on cutting lead vocals. So many facets to her song writing personae!
National act the "Four Bitchin' Babes" (feat.
Deirdre Flint, Sally Fingerette,
Debi Smith & Nancy Moran) have been in when their hectic schedules allow. As always, rhythm tracks first then the lead vocals plus whatever else needs to be accomplished.
Larry Cook (gtrs. & bass) & Columbus's
Tony McClung (drums & perc.) handled the backing musical chores with the
Babes contributing their own songwriting magic themselves.
And speaking of Sally, she and Dan Green recorded their annual Chanukah radio special for the
Sirius/XM radio net.
Pastor L. Ross Howard of the Higher Life Christian Center edited sermons together to create a CD to promote his book,
"The Cancelled Reservation". Keep on gettin' out the word bother!!
Debbie Clement also continues work on a project for
Zaner-Bloser publications for youngsters. I believe this CD has over 35 individual song settings with each one offering a very creative view musically & lyrically.
Ronn Price is her musical & producer collaborator.
Singer-songwriter Mark Sweeney has been in & out percolating his current batch of songs in the studio. Seems to me would should rent him a room to live in with as much as we see him! Thanks
Mark!!!
And old friend/client Jeff Jordan fleshed out some of his song settings with the aforementioned Mr.
Larry Cook. Jeff's compositions remind me of painter who introduces pastels to further express himself; Jeff uses his musical pallet to give his songs a very creative perspective.
The original rockers 'RED EYE DAWN' continued work on their CD project started in the early fall. Keep on rockin' it!
Hip-hop writer/producer Will Beaty is also continuing work with various performers, as well as himself, on so many songs he hasn't even named them. And....
Edan Shaffstall is his engineer of choice, good call!!!
And last but not least our owner/operator Dan Green & his production
collaborator Ronn Price are working on a musical called
"Karma" looking for completion sometime in ¡09. So far the work completed has featured vocals by
Shawna Corder and Larry Ramey, both of whom are at the top of Amerisound's favorite studio vocalists.
More on this exciting project in the New Year and...
Yes it is that time of the year so.........
From Dan, Chris, Edan and me
Have a Merry merry and the happiest of Happys!!!!!!
See on down the road!!

Well hello there friends and welcome to Fall!!!
The glitch is out of system and der Newz is back!!!
We've been without power here at the Sound for the past week and have been gearing back up for a very busy Fall season....
As mentioned here before Marcia Whitney-Pratt came in and recorded a very beautiful personal vocal archive for her newborn granddaughter. What a wonderful gift for her as well as her family & friends. What a great voice, thanks
Marcie!!!!
Kilo, our hip-hop brother, has been in going over new tracks for his project of preaching his philosophy of the street. Ya gotta work to get ir, booooooooyyyyyy!
Debbie Clement and her music composer, Ronn
Price, have been in cutting an amazing amount of tracks for her next production. The total number being around 30 plus tracks; whew!!!!!! I believe this marks her 5th nationally released educational children's CD.
A younger rock band, Warped Minds, came in to record 7 sides for their first trip to our studio. Awesome dudes... They were engineered by
Edan
Shaffstall.
Columbus's own drum legend, Sammy Hooff, has been in three times to add his back-beat to the songs of these songwriter/ singers;
Jeff Jordan and Tracy Harris. Also in on these sessions was long time studio collaborator musician extraordinaire
Larry Cook. And singing backing vocals for Tracy were the beautiful
Darchelle Williams, gorgeous Kay Harris and the handsome
Larry Ramey; great voices for Tracy's CD!! Oh, did I forget to mention.... they sing their butts off!!!
And our jingle company, Amerisound Jingles, was kept busy providing a group of spots for our long time friend & client
Ricart Automotive. You'll be hearing these spots all through the Fall.
And.... last but knot, err naught, err NOT............. our newest bestest studio friend ,
PAPA STEF of SYNC OR SWIM Music, was in with, you know, engineer
Edan
Shaffstall. PAPA STEF works so much at the studio that we're going to get him his own daybed so he can grab some zzzzzzzzzs between sessions.
And as always Chris, Edan, Dan & I want to thank our clients for making ours one of the best jobs around; plus, if I've forgotten any clients very sorry folks! But you knew I was only the drummer......

It is with a heavy heart that Amerisound express its sadness on the passing of one of our musical brothers,
Joe Waters. We wish his family, friends, and associates our prayers of support in their loss. He was truly a one of a kind musical talent and visionary. His spirit will live on in the
Recording Workshop, which he founded, the memories of Appalachia Recording Studios, his jingle business, and all his other inspirational and creative endeavors. God speed
Joe; you will be greatly missed.
Dan, Chris, Ronn, Edan, & Gary, your brothers at
Amerisound.

Well, hope your day is moving forward and any of your problems are easily solved.........
It is cool temperature wise today but the sun is out & slowly warming us. Here at the studio we're having a rest between seasonal sessions, 2 very promising bands have been tracking, overdubbing, mixing, & replicating product.
Maniac For Hire, a young rock band based here in mid Ohio, only used three sessions to complete their CD of originals. The 2 / guitar-bass-drums quartet are still in high school but they don't sound that young. Their shredding style of metal is exactly what you'd hear on the radio and I believe if you get a chance to see & here them you'll be just as impressed as I was.
Somewhere Between, based in Springfield, OH around
Wittenburg University plays originals based on acoustic guitar, bass & drums with vocals. The mix of wooden guitar / vocals, and inventive drumming draws the listener into each song with
E.A.E., (enjoyable audio experience), as the end result. Singer-songwriter
Tracy Harris continues work on her sophomore effort. Our good Shepard of all things guitars, brother
Larry Cook, works with Tracy to flesh out the parts on her projects instrumentation with
Dan engineering. As I sit at the front desk, I am struck by the growth of her compositions in sound, structure, and lyrical quality.
Tracy has definitely taken a dramatic step forward in her development as an artist. Congrats T!!
Amerisound Jingles has lined up a jingle for our friends/clients at
Basement Doctor. It's a new jingle that will burn up the airwaves as soon as our concept gets approval. The sound track and jingle you hear on the
ALDI commercials currently being broadcast is ours; video produced by our friends at
SOS Productions from Columbus. And a media savvy dentist
DR. Brian Kvitko just bought one of our concepts for his marketing campaign.
The High Street Singers finished tracking their highly evolved acapella CD. Again their vocal arrangements are some of the most creative concepts to come through these studios. Thanks
Josh!!! We appreciate the groups business!!
Singer songwriters are in season. Jeff Jordan, a longtime client of the studio, found time in his busy schedule to record some tracks for his ongoing chronicling of his life through song,
Matt Beckler came in to record vocal overdubs on his current project, and a transplanted songster from the Cincy area,
Mark Sweeny, brought in his current CD to cut vocals.
And last but not...............
I Had the occasion to speak with classically trained vocalist,
Marsha Whitney Pratt, and we're looking forward to working on her newest recording. Well that's all the news from this side of the audio world fence.... Thanks to all of our clients for their business and for sharing their dreams with us!!!
Bop till you drop,
Garo de Amerro!!

WOW finally got rid of the SNOW here at the studio and we're sort of thawed out, so here goes the notes for this Winter Season...
Acapella group High Street Singers are back in the studio this month finishing up their current CD. And again I'm struck speechless by their focus, phrasing, arrangements, and execution in the studio. You have to hear them!!! Singer songwriter
Tracy Harris (working on her 2nd CD) has been in tracking a rhythm section for her newest group of songs and using our favorite studio musicians including
Larry Cook (guitars) and the energy personified
Sammy Hoof (drum kit). Our friend Will Beaty is in burning the midnight oil with
Edan Shaffstall doing re-mixes for his many projects. Our jingle company is busy cutting spots for
Ricart Auto, ALDI food stores, and
SOS Productions plus demos for new clients. Banda San Bernardo has been working hard on their CD and what a great sound!! Rock band
Red Eye Dawn has also been in tracking new songs for a new album and it's very now. Great energy and good compositions equal a worthy group of songs. Kudos Jim & company!! Classical pianist
Everett Jones recorded a performance demo for reference. Our main man
Shaheed came in to track a couple of songs. This guy is a rappin' machine! And last but not least
Adam Shambrolay came in to record some new material for a new music collection. His vision of world music allows us to stretch our ears, making us think outside the box. We're grateful he has chosen to work at
Amerisound.
Talk about variety............... And.......... Chris Breck continues working for the music department at
Denison University;engineering the recordings of their concert series in addition to his electronic/tech work here at the studio.
Good luck to all and may all yer tracks have that bump to make ya jump!!
